We are very excited to announce that of our annual Ontario Invasive Plant Council Conference will occur virtually on January 16th, 2025 alongside the Ontario Phragmites Working Group Meeting happening on January 23rd, 2025.

The 2025 OIPC conference theme is The Leading Edge of Invasion. This year’s theme will address how we can stay ahead of the “invasion curve”. It will showcase new and upcoming invasive species, cutting-edge research to detect and mitigate their impacts, and emphasize the importance of adaptive management strategies. This event will encourage people to explore innovative strategies, programs and partnerships to address the future spread of invasive species through a “leading-edge” perspective.

Each year, this unique event brings professionals and passionate citizens together from across Ontario and beyond. This interactive event is a learning opportunity and a great chance to network with others working in the field of invasive plant management. We are excited to support connections in this online venue. This conference is an excellent opportunity for municipalities, government agencies, NGO’s, academics, students, and citizen scientists to learn, take part in discussions and to meet others who are knowledgeable and passionate about invasive plant management.
