We are very excited to offer Canada’s FIRST National Horticulture and Invasive Species Conference, hosted by the Canadian Council on Invasive Species in partnership with the Ontario Invasive Plant Council and industry.
This two-day event will take place VIRTUALLY on
November 8th, 2023, and November 9th, 2023, 11am – 5pm EST.
The Theme for Canada’s FIRST National Horticulture and Invasives Conference is Pathways to Change. The conference aims to connect the landscape and nursery industry, environmental organizations, indigenous communities, and governments to share key information and inform national and regional approaches to address invasive species impacting horticulture, and to protect Canada’s habitats and communities in the face of a changing climate.
Features of this event include:
- An opportunity to educate, increase awareness and share knowledge.
- A range of topics including insights from industries transitioning to non-invasive plants, emerging issues and pathways of spread and municipal education and awareness campaigns to promote behavior change.
- Networking opportunities; and
- Identifying key actions towards a pathway of change!
